So many times I find myself reaching for sweets in the afternoon. There is nothing like a latte and a piece of chocolate, or leftover cookie for that afternoon pick me up, am I right? Well, after wearing a CGM for a week, I realized what that habit was doing to my blood sugar and how that was contributing to my cravings. Since then, I have been more intentional about pairing my carbs with protein and fat, to minimize the blood sugar spike and keep me feeling full throughout the busy afternoons of playing Mom Taxi!
Ingredients:
- 1/2 cup plain Greek yogurt (non-fat or full-fat depending on your preference)
- 2 tbsp powdered peanut butter (I use PB Fit)
- 1 scoop of vanilla protein powder
- A splash of milk if needed to blend
- Optional tsp of chocolate chips
Instructions:
- Combine Ingredients: In a small bowl, mix the Greek yogurt and peanut butter powder together until smooth and creamy. Top with chocolate chips if desired.
- Serve: Enjoy as a dip with apple slices, or spread it on whole-grain toast for a protein-packed snack.
